Wound Healing Center Billing & Charges

The Fauquier Health Wound Healing Center is an outpatient department of the Fauquier Hospital. Therefore, any wound healing center charges for services are considered as hospital charges. The wound healing center is not located on hospital campus, but we do adhere to all hospital policies and procedures. We also employ nursing teams as if we were inside the hospital facility.

Understanding Your Benefits

It is important to understand hospital benefits through your insurance plan. The debridement you may receive during your appointment is considered as a surgical procedure and is submitted as a surgical CPT code to your insurance company.

Independent Physicians

Our multi-specialty panel of physicians are not employed by the Wound Center. They are independent physicians who provide services through our hospital's wound healing department. In most cases, services provided will result in a separate bill from the independent physician and/or their practice. These physician fees are in addition to your hospital bill.

Discussing Your Charges

We recommend that all patients contact their insurer to discuss their individual situations and determine the potential out-of-pocket costs of their care. This discussion with your insurer is an important step because many factors affect an individual's financial responsibility for the cost of hospital care.
