Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Fauquier Health's Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is certified by the
American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary
Rehabilitation (AACVP).
Goals of the Program
Fauquier Health’s Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is a medically prescribed exercise and education program for people who have chronic obstructive or restrictive lung diseases, such as COPD, chronic asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, and pulmonary hypertension. Through this program, patients work twice a week with a registered respiratory therapist who will monitor exercise sessions and skills training.
Individualized treatment plans allow for specialized care with a primary focus on breathing techniques to teach you how to cope with a chronic lung condition.

Working With Your Doctor
A doctor referral is required to begin the program. Upon completion of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program, the doctor will receive a progress report. Be sure to check with the insurance company and ask if the cost of the program is covered.
