About Andrew Gordon

After four great years at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Dr. Gordon moved to the Sunshine State for general surgery training at the University of South Florida – Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa. It was the breadth of training at USF, the Tampa Bay metropolitan area’s only allopathic general surgery residency that drew him there. He spent the majority of his clinical time at Tampa General Hospital, a 1,000+ bed teaching hospital in downtown Tampa and the region’s only Level 1 Trauma Center, burn center, and a comprehensive transplant center. In addition, he rotated at Moffitt Cancer Center, where he gained further exposure to surgical oncology. Lastly, he spent a great deal of time at the region’s two VA hospitals, an experience he feels was especially rewarding in being able to provide care to our nation’s veterans.
